The Light of the Silver Dragon is a small intimate kinship, now that our members are getting to higher levels we are finding that sometimes we cannot get a big enough group together to finish the fellowship quests or do end game activities. We have heard many people saying they are in the same situation and many are merging into bigger kinships. Well we in LotSD want to remain within the comfort of the kinship we've created. So now we'd like to see if there are other kinships that feel the same.

The new user chats will make this much easier, as we can create a user channel that we log into to talk with each other and see if anyone would like to join up for quests.

The commitment would be that depending on the number of kinships that join each would have to coordinate one activity a month per number of kinships. So if we get 5 kinships in the alliance than each kinship would have to put together one activity every 5 months.

Greetings Lelah and other members of Light of the Silver Dragon.  I spoke with Lelah and Glorindon briefly last night about the possibility of an alliance between our kins.  I hail from Kings Beyond the Wall (http://kbtw.servegame.com).  From what I've learned of the Light of the Silver Dragon, our kins practically mirror eachother: a mature playerbase, friendly/helpful players, light-medium RP, selective recruiting, along with many other things.

I'd like to extend an invitation to you to join our alliance chat channel (I'll post instructions below for those not familiar with how to use custom chat), /alliancechat.  We share this channel with members of The Dark Blade kinship (http://thedarkblade.net/foyer/), another kinship I think you'll find quite similar to ours.  The only thing we ask with the channel is to please try to keep all chat family-appropriate.

I invite you to come visit our website and learn more about our kin.  We have about 25-30 active accounts and are currently at a recruitment halt (we've very pleased with our size now and don't want to grow too big).  We have a number of GM crafters, some raiders, some PvMP'ers, and quite a few players and alts ranging throughout the levels 1-50, so if you need help or company with something chances are one of us is looking to do the same thing.

We are not a "raiding" kin and have no plans on becoming one, but we do have raid events for those who are interested (which are generally planned a few weeks in advance).  You are all more then welcome to participate in these.

In our events forum you'll see we have events going on almost every night of the week, with Kings of Friday Night being our "big event".  After about 8pm CST most of our kin is on doing different things which we vote for during the week.. most often this is CD/Uru or Epic Book runs.. so if you're on tonight please stop in alliancechat to say hi!  We'd love to hear from you!  I don't log on Fridays until late (10:30ish) but we have lots of folks on before then.

How to join Alliance Chat

• Type /joinchannel AllianceChat
• To create a new chat tab, right click on an existing chat tab (ex. General) and select "Create New Tab"
• Right click on your new tab->Change Filters->Make sure your userchat1-userchat4 are checked, depending on how many custom chat channels you have (if this is your first custom chat channel it will be designated userchat1.
• To speak in the channel now type /1 (or /2-4, depending on which user channel this is for you)
• Welcome to the Alliance!
